The first restaurant to rotate inside the Reunion Tower was Antares, which opened in 1978 and closed in 2007 as part of a 55 million renovation for the tower and Union Station. For diners who have missed the location’s expansive skyline views, great news: the dining room will open again as Crown Block under the direction of Las Vegas husband and wife team, Elizabeth Blau and chef Kim Canteenwalla. Nestled high above the skyline at the iconic Reunion Tower is the Crown Room, Dallas’s newest premier event space. We were starving so we immediately ordered some food. The restaurant space in Reunion Tower has been empty since Wolfgang Puck’s FiveSixty departed it in May 2020 following a citywide Covid shutdown. The restaurant is pretty cool, given that it's revolving. A fine balance between steak, seafood and plant-based cuisine, featuring ingredients from regional farms, ranches and the Gulf of. A lot of reviewers say that employees are creative at this place. Specialties: Poised high above the Dallas skyline atop Reunion Tower, Crown Block offers a culinary experience to surpass that of the typical steakhouse, complemented by an approachable, stylish environment in celebration of all things grilled, seared and roasted. It's a must to order delicious coffee while visiting this cafe. Do not go away without tasting perfectly cooked Caesar salads, chicken and salsa & chips. I had to do some maneuvering skills to bypass people and was able to get a pretty good seat. Both Reunion Tower and Cloud 9 Cafe are recommended for visiting. but I guess it's because of the holiday season, lots of people visiting and off work. :/ By then a big crowd had gathered in the downstairs lobby area and we basically crammed into the elevators and had to fight for seating in the bar area (since no reservations for bar area). But no one was able to go up the elevators until about 5:20PM. They say on the menu that it starts at 5PM. :(ĥ60's "Seven Until 7" Happy Hour: Monday - Thursday 5-7PM. Grey and gloomy all day so we weren't able to see any sort of a sunset. But as luck would have it, the weather was so blah. I hadn't been to the Reunion Tower in like over 15 years? I was excited to go again. I've heard it's pretty good plus great view of course!
